The SYA is a non-profit provincial organization dedicated to providing networking, training, and education opportunities to the under 40 generation of ag-entrepreneurs in Saskatchewan. Our membership base is spread throughout the province, and includes a diverse mix of producers and ag-professionals. Formed in 2006, the SYA continues to grow in membership and corporate structure each year.
WHAT do we do?
The SYA promotes the exchange of ideas and fosters collaboration between young and future ag-entrepreneurs of Canada.
The SYA hosts an annual conference in conjunction with our Annual General Meeting featuring a combination of workshops and speakers. This conference has grown in size, quality and attendance, and has proven to be a very popular avenue for Saskatchewan’s young farmers to access valuable information and networking contacts.
In addition to our conferences, we also host several functions throughout the year such as training workshops, agriculture related tour days, golf tournaments, and our very popular “Rider Fun Night” at Mosaic Stadium.
WHY should you become a funding partner?
As a non-profit organization, we derive our funding from our supporters, the Canadian Young Farmers Forum, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture, and you, our corporate partners. Partners are offered a range of benefits based on their participation level, and are playing a vital role in supporting young ag-entrepreneurs.
